1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ResumeVanta (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ResumeVanta provides AI-powered resume optimization, cover letter generation, interview coaching, LinkedIn profile optimization, salary negotiation guidance, and application tracking tools. The Service uses advanced AI technology to analyze and generate content based on your inputs.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Free and Pro Plans

Free Plan

Free accounts receive 2 resume optimizations per calendar month. Free usage resets on the 1st of each month. We reserve the right to modify free plan limits.

Pro Plan

Pro subscriptions provide unlimited optimizations and access to all premium tools. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle and are processed through our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges according to your selected billing cycle.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your Account page or via the billing portal
  • Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of your initial subscription or any renewal if you are unsatisfied with the Service. Contact us through your Account page to request a refund
  • Refunds are not available for partial months of usage
  • We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear to abuse this policy

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Submit content that is fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar tools to access the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or AI-generated content for commercial purposes
  • Submit resumes or job descriptions containing malicious code or content
  • Circumvent usage limits or authentication mechanisms

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate resume content, cover letters, interview questions, salary estimates, and other career-related materials. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is a suggestion and should be reviewed and edited by you before use
  • Salary estimates are approximate and based on general market data — they are not financial advice
  • We do not guarantee that optimized resumes will result in interviews, job offers, or specific outcomes
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information in your final resume and application materials
  • AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies

8. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you submit (resumes, job descriptions, etc.) and all AI-generated outputs based on your content. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the Service.

Our content: The ResumeVanta brand, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeVanta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may cancel your account.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
